It’s all about balance; and we don’t mean eating well 80% and eating poorly 20% of the time. The body has a number of checks and balances and if everything is working in balance, the body chooses energy (i.e. calories) according to textbook methods.
So why do so many people have trouble losing weight when they watch calories, eat organic, or even cut out whole food groups? The answer is different for everyone and that’s what we determine for every client we work with.
Our client’s are all over the U.S, P.R and even Europe. More than 85% of our appointments are currently virtual, while we also offer in-person appointments.
We spend 2 hours getting to know as much as we can about your medical history, current lifestyle, diet history, bloodwork, food preferences, digestive symptoms, energy trends, vitamin history, and more. We also record your baseline measurements (body fat, muscle, water weight + more) to ensure that you are seeing improvements with every visit. You leave our meeting with your first customized plan targeting key initial symptoms associated with hindering metabolism. We use this strict plan as a test to see how well your metabolism (and symptoms) respond to our initial predictions and protocol.
We meet again 2-3 weeks later for a 75 minute appointment. We need this extra time to review your initial measurements, explain your body composition anomalies, review symptom changes, measure changes in body composition, and make changes to your plan for continued improvement on all fronts. If we did not see the improvements we anticipated, we may suggested specific bloodwork or a hormone panel before we proceed; this rarely happens so early in the process.
Every appointment builds upon the last. We always measure body composition to track progress and make changes in your plan to optimize results, fit into your lifestyle or prepare for upcoming hurdles. Most follow up appointments are 45 minutes and 2-4 weeks apart depending on your preference and availability. Once you are comfortable with your plan and confident in the process, appointments tend to be farther apart.
If and when we do not see the symptom and physical improvements we anticipate, we may recommend specific bloodwork or hormone testing for more detailed analysis. If you would like to have specialized bloodwork or hormone testing regardless of your rate of improvements, we will recommend the most efficient test based on your goals and symptoms.
